Sledding up Rimini with friends- continued

What a blast. Rimini is the place to be when there's snow. Cooper was hurting the following day from all the stunts he "easily" landed. Micah built a fort in the trees on the edge of the hill. Jayden enjoyed her friend Alyssa Ferg. and I basked in the presence of my own friends.

After returning from our Christmas getaway, we had to throw in a sledding trip for the new year. We called our fun-loving friends to hit the hills and away we went. Thanks to the Fergusons, Ulmers, Beechers and Christensens for a great day.

Elk '09

After a long summer of working away from the family, Jared needed some time in the hills. He had taken Cooper up, but there was nothing moving around. On Sept 26th, Jared brought down a six point bull elk with his trusty bow. It had been a long day with little noise. He was headed down the mountain- back to the truck when the bull started bugling. Jared couldn't resist and headed back up to see what was making all the racket. The freezer is now full. Thanks for all who helped!

A Hunting We Will Go!

Jayden went out and brought back a buck! She is her father's daughter. Dad and Cooper took down this beauty with the bow. Upon inspection they found a spear from a former hunter, lodged in the buck's snout. It made for a very cool mount. There will be many mighty hunters in this house. Great job guys!

Can't publish pictures from Christmas 08 until you see 07. Heather's sister Amber, Dan, Max, Gage, and Jon joined us for Christmas. We had an amazing time and managed our first pictures as a family since childhood. Fairmont hot springs wasn't a bad place to get together.

We put away all the fluffy stuff and closed the doors of Lay-Out Receptions. Heather enjoyed working with her family and friends coordinating wedding receptions in the Helena area.

Sold the house on Bandera. It really was a joy to finish updating everything. We have a new house and will have a picture of that in the near future.

End of Summer

Uncle Glenn and his friend Jim rode all the way out from Iowa to see us. Thanks for the visit!

Aunt Beth's Baby

Jasper Jackson Walker arrived in June. We went down to Jackson Hole, WY for his blessing in August. He is just adorable.

Back to School

Jayden, Cooper, and Micah unanimously decided to go back to school this year. What luck for me! Micah is a new Kindergartner and super happy. Bedtime is so much easier now. Jayden went off to Middle School. She's just as beautiful inside as on the outside. Cooper has moved on to third grade and is loving the football season.

We made it back from California the night before school started, because education is important!

Tug Lived

We brought a new puppy home from Iowa in June and named him Tug. Tug caught the virus "Parvo" and nearly died. After much prayer and fasting by a bunch of sweet kids, he lived! He has recovered and back to being a stinker.

Fort Bragg, CA

Jared was lucky enough to work for Dave and Darla Paoli while schooling in Oregon. We had to see them! They have 27 acres on the ocean shore line which was a blast for all ! We saw (and smelled) a dolphin corpse, baby shark skeleton, lots of shells, and sand dunes for miles. The water was COLD. Thanks Dave and Darla, we'll come back.

I still have sand in the pockets of my shorts from that day. What a piece of heaven.

Getting Out

There was so much to see in California. Our friends Greg, Stacey, Dane, and Asher were amazing hosts. We were able to visit Turtle Bay, a Science Works Museum, and more. Beautiful birds and wildlife, gorgeous scenery and lots of water. Stacey is pregnant in the photos, so we'll show the boys.

California Trip

The kids and I took a drive to California. Along the way we stopped by Klamath Falls, OR to show Cooper where he hails from. Our dear friends couldn't wait to show us around the Redding, Shasta, Yreka area. We had the most fun right there at the Neitsch house amongst the chickens and whipped cream!

Celebrating another anniversary...

Every September we celebrate how lucky we are.

Well, at least how lucky Jared is :) . This is our 13th anniversary. We were sealed for time and eternity at the Cardston Temple in Canada. What a blast it has been to grow up together.
